Grandstands full of uniforms (and waving hankies, as if everyone is saying farewell to themselves) seem at odds with a nation of ordinary folk so deeply at odds with each other. The individuals who inhabit the uniformed blue, red, white, yellow or teal teeshirts during a big game probably would be duking it out with each other if they weren’t cheering for the same team. Hey I go to this church i am the organist and music director for saturday litrugy and I was wondering how come no other catholic churches i ever gone to but this one NOT wear any robes?

Catholic parishes maintain robes for the choir. However, this doesn't mean they wear them constantly.
In my parish, the choir only dawns the robes for only the most significant Masses; Christmas Easte, etc.
I am a choir director of small, wonderful, church. We don't have much money in our budget. We have choir robes, but they are are getting old - we have repaired them ourselves (we clean them ourselves too). I'd like the choir to have different stoles for their robes this Advent,
The Bible explains that we should not care that much about our outward appearance. People are the church, not a building. Pastors with their church buildings have made Christianity into a business. It is not right. If you want better robes, make your pastor pay for them. He's probably making a lot of money ripping people off by telling you to tithe.
