For thousands of years, Christians have remembered their Savior through the sacrament of communion, taking in his blood and body through consecrated wine and bread.
But now that celiac disease and gluten intolerance is increasingly common, bread has become a bad word, at least for the one in 133 Americans who can’t eat wheat.
People with celiac disease can find gluten-free options at grocery stores and restaurants, as the gluten-free industry grows to accommodate their dietary restrictions, but when it comes time to break bread at church, it’s not as easy.

From the picture, it looks like the rabbi who blessed it is Rabbi Schneerson – the guy that all the Chabadniks thought was the Messiah.
He died in 1994 and they rebuilt his Brooklyn townhouse as a complete replica in Israel, expecting him to return and live there.
These guys are extremist as you get in terms of Judaism, in that they sort of decided to break with the rest of Judaism and revere a specific person as the coming Messiah. Most Jews think that they are utterly insane.
They still have bumper stickers and billboards in some places in Israel predicting his return, although many probably will admit by now that it’s getting a little embarrassing. =)

The lord must knew I needed Communion this 1st Sunday cuz I have the biggest wafer ever in the church .
I always wondered. I imagined they would be sweet like a crispy cookie or biscuit - is that right? I probably couldn't eat it though because I'm assuming it's not wheat-free?
Before transubstantiation, they're just made of Flour and water.
They have a texture like Styro-Foam and have a wheaty-bland taste.
They do have Gluten Free, but you have to ask the priest for them.
What happens to Jesus?
Isn't the eucharist supposed to literally turn into the body of jesus (transubstatiation)?
